Widget support
Zach Reed
Is this something Expo could ever do? Like be able to integrate with the iOS widgets screen?
Stefan Aleksovski
I released a library that can be used to create android widgets, with no modifications to the native code, it only needs to be configured with the provided config plugin.
You can see it here: https://github.com/sAleksovski/react-native-android-widget , and the documentation at https://saleksovski.github.io/react-native-android-widget/

Really, really, REALLY need that. Mainly for iOS.
Having widget support in Expo would be incredibly valuable. Ideally, the setup would allow us to design a dedicated view—almost like a separate, streamlined app within the main app—that handles all the specific requirements for widgets. This approach would let us manage various widget versions efficiently while keeping everything in pure TypeScript.

Cannot WAIT for this to be released officially. Till then, has anyone else figured out how to do this?

If we could get this into the EAS managed workflow that would be great.
