We plan to add config plugin support to
react-native-google-cast
, here is a proof of concept that you can try today with expo dev client.Daniel Naranjo
Evan Bacon: u have anything example to use this poc or, news about this development?
Michael Wood
Daniel Naranjo: Best to post your question on forums.expo.dev. But first, have you tried going through the instructions here?

Almost at the 4 year mark with no updates... I'm starting to lose hope.
Michael Wood
Cheezwiz: I believe EAS should solve this sort of problem. Currently you still need to eject to use EAS, but they are working to support it in the managed workflow as well. Also, EAS brings the bare workflow closer to the managed workflow.
With EAS you should be able to make use of https://github.com/react-native-google-cast/react-native-google-cast

Why isn't such a basic feature like Google Cast integrated yet....? Makes Jellyfin on iOS (which uses Expo) basically useless for me...

Also... it is Google CAST sdk... not cask.
I’m hoping this isn’t actually a reason that this Important feature hasn’t seen movement over the past couple of years...
