Please do this feature. There are so few options for SMS management in the react-native ecosystem and the ones that are there are not being updated.

Have you tried react-native-android-sms (or perhaps another package) with EAS Build?

Wodin: we use only manage flow. We use OTA updated and that is not available for bare flow

Алексей Мулюкин: You are in luck. You can use EAS Build with the managed workflow and still make use of dependencies that use custom native code, and you can use OTA updates too. You do have to be a bit more careful with the OTA updates, though.

Still waiting for it, iOS support no need anymore, because that already is a built function. But for Android users it still required. We have much more android users

This among other things is a deal breaker. 
Absence of this reduces UX for onboarding. 
Probably less than 0.1% of expos users are using this forum.
The current upvotes is a good enough number to work on this.
I am sure people who have done expo eject might come back.
So many requests over the years. Requesting you'll to please implement this

Armor009: Have you given Adding custom native code a try? It should allow you to add native code like react-native-android-sms to your app.
