As of SDK 55, the heavily requested ability to share into Expo applications has been implemented. This feature request is related to adding share sheet granularity, similar to how Discord, WhatsApp, and Signal allow sharing to the app or to a few recent conversations directly in the native sheet. Having this granular control would provide better UX for applications that feature chat rooms/messaging systems.
