React Native 0.56.0

I read your reasons for not moving expo to the newest version of React. I think you should support 0.56.0 for two main reasons. First of all, with Babel7 now officially released, expo is increasingly more difficult to use with modules moving to Babel7. Secondly, as the react community moves forward, expo is stuck in the dark ages.

Closing this since Expo has upgraded past this version.

We get a magnificent piece of software and the associated tools for free. Expo team, take your time to upgrade to RN 56, I encourage you to release the next Expo iteration with all bugs squashed! Thanks a lot for the Expo ecosystem!

Your first reason might be a good one, but stuck in the dark ages? Just because the team made a decision to wait with a version upgrade until it made more sense? That's just harsh. And two months ago isn't long ago even for such a fast moving industry.
I feel lucky that Expo exists at all.

Tal: Just because expo is cool and awesome, and makes life easier doesn't mean I'm not going to push it to be better. Time flies quickly in the software industry.

Jam Risser: The best way to push it to be better is to report bugs and/or create your own pull requests. It's not like the expo team works for you anyway.
Jam Risser
Gonzalo Robaina: I agree, that is the best way. I'm still going voice what I think expo should support.

Also for the bug fixes... net info watcher is broken for background android apps right now!
