Share Extension (iOS) & Share Intent (Android)

We need this feature for both of the platforms. This is an essential feature. Expo must add this to its' built-in modules: https://github.com/alinz/react-native-share-extension

Anyway, I am not aware of any more concrete plans, but I am just an Expo user, so I don't have any inside info.
As far as I know they are working on improvements to Xcode project generation etc., so I think that will probably make it easier to implement stuff like this feature request.

Shamim Alpha: No, last I checked there is not a config plugin written for that package. Also iOS requires enough customization (creating a new target for the Share Extension) that I'm not 100% sure a config plugin can achieve the level of modifications needed

Ann Baum: the plan is to address this with the approach outlined in that blog post, but it might take a bit longer because there is quite a lot of complexity involved in automating set up of a share extension in an ios app

Brent Vatne: ideally what we are all looking for is something similar to the react-native share but just with the ability to prepick the app (facebook, twitter) etc. Since this is a super common use case it would be nice to have that share extended to do such, or just a managed expo-wrapper of the react-native-share. while the solution mentioned is a nice universal solution it is fairly complicated for such a simple use case.
