I'd like to have an EAS API to work with. It would provide more flexibility and make it easier for developers to use and contribute to the ecosystem than being locked to the CLI.

Closed as we don't have plans beyond the

--json

flags and the EAS hooks and webhooks, and no additional use cases were provided.

we don't plan on providing a public api in the near future. we intentionally added the

--json

flag to the CLI to allow developers to use it for automation, so you can pass it in to

eas build:list

eas build:view

, etc. can you elaborate on what you want to accomplish that isn't possible with this?

Brent Vatne: One of our use cases is to have an internal web page for the team to get the latest build available group by EAS profile/ (beta/simulator/device...) or branch.

Jonathan Etaix: that makes sense! one way you could do this for now is to run

eas build:list --json

in a subprocess (could be in-band with request / cache the value for some time, or maybe on a schedule), another way is you could build a webhook that updates the value. https://docs.expo.dev/eas/webhooks/
